Ordinarily, I love spoilers, but I'm excited to see this movie without knowing too much about it. Which is why I'm glad Rebecca specifically labeled this review spoiler-free. Whew!

It never occurred to me until I read this article that Batman really never kills anyone. Christopher Nolan (the writer and director of the film) points out that this makes Batman a pretty rare - and cool - action movie hero, and he's right.

OK, another factor in my anticipation of this film: Christian Bale is totally my secret boyfriend. I would watch just about anything he's in.
